Under the Network Paradigm, the notion of Identity shifts from being one of `container filled with objects' to one of `nodal exploration of experience' where each node has a transitory character, and is in consistency with another node, whether human, abstract or technical. |

As our experience with prosthesis indicates, there is no escaping embodiment. Even as the means of our apparent departure from our material form gives rises to higher and higher orders of prosthetics, each prosthetic is firmly coupled into desire, the inescapable, hard-wired propellant of life. To paraphrase a platitude:
Exceptions. Those persons who become virtual will find an increasing split between
the meat and the mind - they will re-experience the same old mind-body
split - but this time they will have the illusion of a choice to
